
BIOGRAPHY
Armita Zahedianaraki (b. 1989, Isfahan, Iran), is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist with a focus on figurative painting. Her work is rooted in exploring identity—shaped by memory, self-care, and cultural heritage. She often incorporates patterns inspired by Iranian traditions alongside personal experiences, using portraiture as a way to explore and reveal human character. Through her art, she seeks to capture the emotional depth and individuality of her subjects.
She began her academic journey with a Master’s degree in Information Technology, but her passion for art ultimately led her down a different path. In 2024, she graduated from the Fine Art Diploma program at the Ottawa School of Art, where she had the opportunity to grow and deepen her creative practice.
her work has been recognized with several awards, including the Ted Marshall Memorial Scholarship, Lee Matasi Memorial Scholarship, and the Hollyhock Painting and Drawing Scholarship. Each piece she create is a step toward understanding the self and connecting with others through shared emotions and stories.
